Marked Youth Camp

This logo is for a Methodist-sponsored youth camp based in Illinois.  It was an update of their existing logo, which made use of block lettering and a grunge “splatter” element.  I was called upon to update it to a more modern font and feel.  I chose the weighty Rockwell Bold, and incorporated some “not too feminine” swirls into the frame to give it some flair.  The “A” was colored red to represent that Christians are set apart for the Lord’s service.  Several variations of the concept were drafted for different purposes, such as those where the grunge elements were not appropriate.
